Wet steam flow and condensation loss in turbine blade cascades

This study develops a wet steam modelling to solve the phase change process inside blade cascade of turbine. The comparative is carried out understand impact dry gas model and on predicting flow behaviours in effect cutback trailing edge structure nonequilibrium condensation evaluated cascades. results show that assumption without considering predicts fraudulently separations near induce oblique waves. maximum liquid fraction can reach approximately 0.051 based modelling. condensation-evaporation processes cascades cause loss 0.118 MW. stronger expansion obtained earlier onset homogeneous nucleation with an increasing edge. 21% leads strong suction side severely deteriorate condition It suggests by 14% acceptable repair damaged blades structure, loss.
